The Candid Bibliophile was born from a need to fully process my thoughts and emotions after finishing a piece of fiction. Some available book review platforms are so limiting in its character count so I couldn't adequately express my thoughts and emotions towards a book. While others are too noisy with other people's opinions that it clouds what I truly thought of the book. This space allows me to adequately express my candid thoughts without limit. And if my thoughts help you decide to get that book you've been eyeing, then that's just icing on the cake.

My story: The person behind the persona
I'm an honest-to-God Bibliophile. I have an entire room in my house dedicated to books (aptly called The Reading Room). Books have always been a lifeline for me. Admittedly, I favor fiction over non-fiction. I love the escapism that comes with reading a good piece of fiction.
I have a bachelors degree in English. I went into college with the intention of graduating with an internship at a publishing house under my belt to kick start my career as an editor of fiction. This didn't happen, but my love for fiction hasn't wavered. I hope my passion comes through on this website and inspires you to read all kinds of fiction!
