Book rating methodology

Book preferences are extremely subjective. I've read books that I absolutely hated only to find out that others loved them. I've also read books that I've absolutely loved only to find out that others had massive issues with the writing style or pace. For this reason, I've decided to create a methodology for my book ratings that focuses on the elements of the genre. Each genre has its own criteria, but the ratings are all calculated the same way. While this doesn't completely remove my subjectivity, it's as close as I can get to objectivity on pieces of work that evoke different emotions in different people.
